Huawei P9, P9 Plus With Leica-Developed Dual Rear Cameras Launched: Price & Specifications

Huawei has taken the wraps off its two new smartphones- Huawei P9 and P9 Plus. The highlight of these phones is their camera department. Both smartphones feature Leica developed dual 12 mega pixel cameras on the rear with 1.25-micron pixels and Leica SUMMARIT lenses. One of the lenses captures light in color while the other captures in monochrome. This set up promises to offer sharp and detailed images even in low lighting conditions.

The rear camera also comes with hybrid auto focus technology. Both smartphones sport 8 mega pixel front facing cameras.

Meizu has announced the launch of the successor of M2 Note, called the Meizu M3 Note in China. As for specifications, it is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor paired with Mali-T860 GPU. The phone features a 5.5-inch display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution and 2.5D curved glass.

The device comes in two variants based on RAM and storage- one with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage while other variant packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. Both variants support expandable storage up to 128GB using microSD card.

Meizu has introduced its latest smartphone, called the Meizu MX5e, in China. It is an affordable variant of Meizu MX5, which was launched last year for Rs. 19,999.

As for specifications, the MX5e is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) processor coupled with PowerVR G6200 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The phone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system wrapped under Flyme OS 4.5. It features a 5.5-inch full HD Super AMOLED display with resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The screen packs Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection against scratches.

Vivo has launched its two new smartphones- Vivo V3 and V3 Max in India. Both smartphones flaunt their metal body design and feature a fingerprint scanner for additional security. Oppo has finally launched its camera focused smartphone- Oppo F1 Plus, in India. Touted as the ‘Selfie Expert’, the F1 Plus is a re-branded variant of Oppo R9, which was launched in China, earlier this year.

The highlight of the F1 Plus is its camera department. The phone sports a 16 mega pixel front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 78.1-degree wide-angle lens for capturing stunning selfies.
