Asus has announced the launch of Asus A series of laptops in India. The new A series includes budget laptop- A553 and performance laptops- A555LF and A555LA.

While A553 is touted as budget laptop with premium design, the other two laptops, namely, A555LF and A555LA are targeted at first time users, students, offices and value-driven buyers. All the three models come with two years global warranty. Moreover, the devices are pre-installed with DOS and are Windows 10 ready. Micromax has launched its Windows 10 running Micromax Canvas Lapbook alongside second generation Laptab, called the Canvas Laptab LT777.

The Canvas Lapbook is powered by a 1.33GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It features 11.6-inch display with 1366×768 pixels resolution. The device houses 32GB of internal memory which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card and sports a VGA front facing camera. Backed up by a 5000mAh battery, it is good enough to survive for up to 11 hours on single charge.

Alongside Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL smartphones, Microsoft has also taken the wraps off its first ever laptop, dubbed the Microsoft Surface Book.

The Surface Book features a 13.5-inch PixelSense touchscreen display with 267ppi pixel density and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for protection against scratches. The display has 3000×2000 pixels resolution, 3:2 aspect ratio and 1800:1 contrast ratio. Moreover, the screen of the device can be detached from the keyboard and can be used as a tablet. It is powered by sixth-generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor paired with Nvidia GeForce GPU and GDDR5 memory.

Asus has launched its premium Asus ZenBook UX305LA Ultrabook laptop in India. As for specifications, it is powered by a 2.4GHz Intel-core i7-5500U processor with TurboBoost frequency up to 3GHz, coupled with 8GB of RAM.

It runs Windows 10 operating system and features a 13.3-inch LED-backlit QHD display with 3200×1800 pixels resolution. There is 512GB of SSD storage which is six times faster than conventional hard disk. The company has also provided an HD camera for video calling. Lenovo has announced its gaming laptop- Lenovo IdeaPad Y700-17ISK in India. It is powered by a 6th generation Intel Core i7 processor paired with GTX-960M graphics and 16GB of DDR4 RAM. The laptop features a 17-inch full-HD anti-glare display with resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and runs Windows 10 operating system.

There is 128GB of SSD onboard and 1TB hard disk drive to take care of storage stuff. The device also boasts of its backlit keyboard. Backed up by a 4 cell 60WH battery, it weighs 3.5 kilograms. There is a 720p camera for video calling.

Lenovo has announced the launch of new range of ThinkPad laptops and desktops at IFA 2015. The products are designed specifically for small and medium businesses. The new product range includes ThinkPad E Series, updated Lenovo M, B and E line of laptops and S series desktops including all-in-ones.

Starting with the ThinkPad E-Series, it will be available in 14-inch and 15.6-inch display sizes. It comes with optional fingerprint security. The devices are powered by latest generation Intel and AMD processors which offer up to ten percent raw performance increase and up to thirty four percent for integrated graphics. The devices are claimed to deliver up to nine hours of battery life.

Lenovo has taken the wraps off its next generation of mobile workstations, dubbed the Lenovo ThinkPad P50 and P70 at the SIGGRAPH 2015 Conference and Exhibition.

Both ThinkPad P50 and P70 are powered by an Intel Xeon processor from E3-1500M v5 series paired with NVIDIA Quadro GPU. The workstations also boast of their X-Rite Pantone color calibration for maintaining accuracy of colors. The devices come equipped with FLEX dual-fan cooling system offering cooler, quieter and faster performance. On design front, both workstations are built with premium materials for resistance against wear and tear. The also feature a three-button touchpad.
