Brother DCP-T500W Ink Refill Tank Printer Hands On Review

Brother International launched its new ink refill tank printer series in the Indian market back in May 2015. The series comprises of three 3-in-1 inkjet Multi-Function Centres namely, DCP-T300, DCP-T500W and DCP-T700W. We got the Brother DCP-T500W for review, and after using it for a few days, here’s our hands on review!

The DCP-T500W printer is very easy to plug and print. With the aim to assure low cost of printing per page, it focuses on those users who want high print volume. It performs three functions- Print, Scan and Copy. The device seamlessly works with low cost ink bottles and has a yield of nearly 6000 pages in black ink.

Inside the box you will find the printer itself, USB cable, power cord, 5 ink bottles (2 Black, 1 Cyan, 1 Magenta and 1 Yellow), Driver CD and instruction manual.

How To Use Brother DCP-T500W

  • To make the device functional, open the top cover, connect power cord and USB cable.
  • On switching power on, you will be asked to set date and time.
  • After setting date and time, you will have to install drivers from CD in your PC.
  • Once the installation is done, you are ready to take print outs from your printer.
  • The print quality of this device is fairly impressive and speed of printing is also fast.

The ink tank cover is located at the front to make it easier for users to access and refill it. The see-through cover in embedded ink tank at the front allows users to know how much ink is left.

The DCP-T500W is priced at Rs.12,150 and is available to buy from Brother International’s authorised reseller stores across the country. It comes with 5 ink bottles (2 Black, 1 Cyan, 1 Magenta and 1 Yellow) as well as one year warranty or 30,000 pages, whichever is earlier.
