US based handset maker, Blu made its foray into the Indian market with the launch of Blu Win JR LTE and Win HD LTE Windows smartphones last month in September 2015. The devices were initially available through online retailer Snapdeal. Now the company has announced its partnership with Amazon India for the sale of its smartphones. Moreover, the Win JR LTE and Win HD LTE will also be available to buy from Microsoft retail points across the country.
As for specifications, both devices share some similar features. As the name implies, both Win JR LTE and Win HD LTE support 4G LTE connectivity. Under the hood, they are powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor paired with Adreno 306 GPU.
Blu Win JR LTE
There is 8GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32GB using microSD card. Besides 4G LTE support, both handsets offer Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth as connectivity options. On software front, these phones run Windows 8.1 operating system and are upgrdabale to Windows 10 Mobile.
The Blu Win JR LTE features a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display with 854×480 pixels resolution and 218ppi pixel density. It comes with 512MB of RAM, 5 mega pixel auto focus rear camera, a VGA front facing camera and a 2000mAh battery which is claimed to deliver talk time of up to 16 hours and standby time of up to 725 hours on 3G networks.
The Blu Win HD LTE on the other hand sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with 1280×720 pixels resolution and 294ppi pixel density. Other features of the device include 1GB of RAM, 8 mega pixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash, 2 mega pixel front facing camera and a 2500mAh battery which is good enough to provide talk time of up to 20 hours and standby time of up to 775 hours on 3G networks.
