BB Merah Putih has launched its BlackBerry Aurora smartphone in Indonesia. For those who are unaware, BlackBerry has made an agreement with BB Merah Putih to make, market and sell BlackBerry branded smartphones in Indonesia. The BB Merah Putih made BlackBerry smartphones will not be rolled out in other countries and the TCL made manufactured BlackBerry devices will not be sold in Indonesia. Talking about the Aurora, it is the first BlackBerry smartphone to come with dual SIM support.
As for specifications, the Aurora packs a 64-bit 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. The phone runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. It features a 5.5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The phone houses 32GB of internal memory and supports expandable storage with microSD card.
On the camera front, the device sports a 13 mega pixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash. There is also an 8 mega pixel front facing camera onboard for capturing selfies and making video calls. Fueled by a 3000mAh battery, the company claims it to offer up to 30 hours of usage time. Connectivity options which the dual SIM phone offers, include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. It measures 152×76.8×8.5 mm and weighs 178 grams. It comes in Gold, Silver and Black color options.

Price & Availability
The BlackBerry Aurora carries a price tag of IDR 3,499,000 (approximately Rs. 17,500) and is up for pre-order in Indonesia till March 12 via online stores. It will go on sale starting March 13, 2017.
