Samsung is of the opinion if it’s big, it’s better. And it plans on staying ahead of the competition. In recent times, the size of the smartphones have been increasing and Samsung has just launched their Mega series of mid range phablets. The junior member, the Galaxy Mega 5.8 will be the cheaper one and the Galaxy Mega 6.3 will be the dearer one. And today we are going to tell you about the Galaxy Mega 5.8.

The smartphone as the name suggests has a 5.8 inch screen of qHD resolution which translates into a pixel density of 199ppi which is nothing great but it does so to keep the costs in check. It has a dual core processor of Cortex A15 architecture ticking at 1.4 GHz. It will run on the latest version of Android, 4.2 Jelly Bean and it might the 5.0 Key Lime Pie update as well seeing the fact that Samsung believes in keeping customers happy in the upgrade department.

Samsung has quietly slipped their entry level droid, the Galaxy Y Plus and Galaxy Young and both these smartphones can now be ordered from different e-commerce websites. The Galaxy Y Plus will take on from where the Galaxy Y will depart and Galaxy Young will be an altogether new smartphone.

Galaxy Y Plus comes with a 2.8 inch display and runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich. The smartphone will have a 850 MHz processor as its heart. It will support two GSM sim cards and will offer an internal storage of 4GB which can be expanded by 32GB via a microSD card. It will feature 3G, Wi-fi and Bluetooth for connectivity.

LG Optimus L3 II And L7 II Launched In India

LG has just launched two new smartphones in the country or rather we should say two new smartphones from the company have been listed on e-commerce website, flipkart.com for purchase. LG Optimus L3 II Dual and LG L7 II Dual are the smartphones is question and they have been listed on the LG website as well. The official launch price of these phones (MRP) is Rs. 8,800 and Rs. 18,650 respectively. However, as per the best buy price on some of the leading online retailers,  the L3 II Dual is available for Rs.7,899 whereas the L7 II Dual is available for Rs.14,990.

Blackberry has not really managed to garner the attention in the positive manner of the critics as well as customers when it has come to pricing frontier of the latest Blackberry 10 running device, Blackberry Z10. The Canadian company is planning to add more more devices to the BB10 running devices and the Q10 will be launched in April 2013 which will be priced pretty steeply as well. But there’s something for the ones on a budget as well.

A new device has cropped up which will be running on the BB10 and will be named as R10. It will sit as a top of the line Curve device. Or else Blackberry might just introduce an all new series like the Z and Q which will be named as the R series, thus the device being named as R10. It will come with a price tag of around $400 which converts into a figure of roughly Rs.22,000 in Indian currency and will offer a similar experience as its dearer siblings.

Airtel To Pay Rs. 350 Crore Penalty Says Delhi High Court

Bharti Airtel has been under the hammer again as the Delhi High Court has pulled the stay order, which now permits the Department of Telecommunications to stop the operator from providing 3G services in seven circles where it does not hold the license to provide 3G. Airtel has now approached Supreme Court to challenge the order.
We recently brought to you the news of the Department of Telecom planning to fine Idea, Vodafone and Airtel for operating in 3G circles without a license. Back then, Airtel was going to be the company which was going to be worst hit and it seems that they’ve been pretty bad. The Delhi High Court has just lifted the stay Bharti Airtel had managed to get to prevent the penalty that was imposed on them.

HTC First Facebook Home Enabled Phone Price, Features, Specs And Details

Facebook is the cult of social networking. Their aim is connecting people and to help you connect better, Mark Zuckerberg has just launched the Facebook Home application for android devices. At the launch event, HTC and Facebook announced the first device of their partnership, the HTC First which will be the first device to run Facebook Home out of the box and it is available for ordering on AT&T’s website for $99.99 with a two year contract.

HTC First is a mid range device and has just about average specs. It has a 4.3 inch Capacitive display of 720p resolution and the heart will be a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon Krait 400 processor. It is supplemented with a 1GB RAM. The smartphone has a 5 megapixel primary camera with BSI technology and gets a 1.6 megapixel up front as well for video calling and self portrait shots.

Samsung has hit the sweet spot with the launch of the Galaxy Grand in India with the phablet becoming an instant hit despite the drawbacks it has. A news has come in from Vietnam that Samsung is all set to introduce another phablet to cash in on the budget phablet segment. Samsung is soon going to launch Galaxy Win, with model number GT-I8552 and will sit above the Galaxy S2 Plus but below the Galaxy S3.

The mid range phablet, Samsung Galaxy Win is expected to run on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean but it might just get the Androd 4.2.2 treatment by the time it gets launched. The screen will be a 4.7 inch screen unit with a resolution of 800×480 pixels. It will be a Super AMOLED unit and the screen will produce better colours than the Grand courtesy the smaller screen size and he Super AMOLED unit. So you can expect decent colour reproduction and almost no pixelation.
