After unveiling the Bamboo Edition and Pink Edition of Mi Note phone, Xiaomi has now launched another variant of the handset dubbed the Xiaomi Mi Note Black Edition. The Black Edition, as the name implies is colored black. The latest edition packs the same specifications and features as its elder siblings with only difference in its color. The Mi Note phone was initially announced in January in alongside Mi Note Pro phone, after which Bamboo Edition with natural bamboo back panel and Pink Edition were launched. Interestingly, Xiaomi is offering the Black Edition of the handset bundled with a free music album of Chinese famous singer Jason Zhang.

The Lenovo A6000 Plus smartphone which was announced earlier this week, has now been launched in the Indian market. The handset will go on sale exclusively via e-commerce retailer Flipkart on 28th April 2015 while registrations for the same will open today at 2.00 PM. The A6000 Plus is essentially a refreshed variant of A6000. The Plus variant features double RAM and double inbuilt memory of what A6000 offers. Lava has expanded its Iris series with the launch of Lava Iris X1 Atom smartphone. As for specifications, the handset runs Android 4.4 KitKat operating system with a promised upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop through FOTA. The X1 Atom is powered by a quad-core (unknown chipset) processor clocked at 1.2 GHz and features a 4-inch WVGA display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution and 233 ppi pixel density. Onboard is 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card.

Google has announced the launch of a new handwriting keyboard for Android dubbed the Google Handwriting Input. The input tool is now available to download from Google Play store. After installing it on your smartphone or tablet, set the keyboard as default and you are ready to go. The Handwriting tool supports 82 languages in 20 distinct scripts and allows users to input text using a stylus or their finger. Furthermore, the keyboard is compatible with both printed as well as cursive writing inputs.

Samsung Reportedly Working On Two New Tizen Phones

After the success of Samsung Z1 phone, Samsung is now said to be working on its two new Tizen phones- the Samsung Z2 and another Tizen smartphone which will be launched globally. The successor of Samsung Z1, the Z2 phone is rumored to be an entry level smartphone while the global Tizen phone will be a mid-ranged phone. The Z2 is likely to be unveiled in first half of 2015. LG has unveiled a new smartphone dubbed LG Volt in its home market Korea. The Volt shares some common specifications with LG Spirit which was showcased at Mobile World Congress 2015 and was launched in India in March 2015 at Rs. 14,250. As for specifications, the single-SIM Volt is powered by 64-bit 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 processor paired with 1 GB of RAM and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop.
