Facebook Launches Voice Calling In Messenger App

In a bid to take on Skype and Hangout apps, Facebook has announced the launch of voice calling in messenger app. Facebook’s new voice calling feature will allow the users to make free video calls and have face to face conversations with the one’s in their friend list. Android and iOS users with Facebook messenger app on their mobile phone can make video calls using this feature.

To initiate a video call, the user will just have to tap on the video icon located at the top right corner of the screen during a messenger conversation or chat. Micromax has added a new handset to its Canvas series, the Micromax Canvas Play smartphone. The Canvas Play is now listed on company’s official website as well as an online portal eBay India. Under the hood, this dual-SIM smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582M processor paired with 1 GB of RAM. Running Android 5.0 Lollipop, it features a 5.5 inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 854×480 pixels.

The Canvas Play sports a 5 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3 mega pixel front facing camera. On storage front, it houses 8 GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card.

The Lenovo A5000 smartphone which was spotted listed on company’s Russia and UAE website, has now arrived in India. Priced at Rs.9,999, the handset is now up for pre-order on Lenovo’s TheDoStore in India in Black and White color options while shipping will begin starting April 30.

Highlight of this device is its 4000 mAh battery which according to the official listings, is rated to deliver up to 17 hours of talk time and 33.5 days of standby time on 3G networks. Micromax Canvas Tab P480 Launched At Rs. 6,999: Specs & Features

Micromax has expanded its tablet portfolio with the launch its new tablet dubbed the Micromax Canvas Tab P480. Canvas P480 succeeds the Canvas Tab P470 which was launched in December 2014.

As for specifications, the Canvas P480 is powered by quad-core MT8382W/M processor clocked at 1.3 GHz alongside 1 GB of RAM. Philips has launched  two new features phones dubbed Philips E310 & E160 in the Indian market. The former essentially succeeds the Philips X2566 phone. The Philips E310 targets the senior citizens in the country. Specifications of the handset include 0.3 mega pixel camera, 1630 mAh battery which is rated to deliver up to 25 hours of talk time and up to 50 days of standby time. The handset also comes equipped with FM Radio, Magnifier, Flashlight and SOS function.

The Philips E160 on the other hand features dual-SIM support. Other specifications of the handset include 0.3 mega pixel digital camera, 8 MB of inbuilt memory which is expandable up to 16 GB via microSD card, FM Radio, MP3 Player, Bluetooth and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
