iBall Slide i701 Windows 8.1 Tablet Launched At Rs. 4999: Specs & Features

iBall has expanded its tablet portfolio with the launch of iBall Slide i701 in the Indian market. The tablet is cheapest Windows 8.1 running tablet as of now. As for specifications, the tablet is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It runs Windows 8.1 operating system (upgradable to Windows 10) and features a 7-inch HD IPS display. There is 16GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

The Slide i701 tablet sports a 2 mega pixel rear camera and a VGA front facing camera. Backed up by a 3200mAh battery, it offers 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Micro-USB as connectivity options.

Videocon has expanded its Infinium series with the launch of Videocon Infinium Z45 Nova+ smartphone in the Indian market. This handset succeeds the Infinium Z45 Nova which was launched last year. As for specifications, the Infinium Z45 Nova+ is powered by a quad-core Spreadtrum SC7731 processor clocked at 1.2GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM. Featuring a 4.5-inch IPS display with 854×480 pixels resolution, the device runs Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.

On imaging front, the handset sports a 5 mega pixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and BSI sensor. There is also a 2 mega pixel front facing camera. It houses 8GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

Panasonic has announced the launch of Toughpad rugged handheld tablets- FZ-E1 and FZ-X1 alongside semi-rugged Toughbook CF-54 in the Indian market. Both Toughpads are targeted towards enterprises. The Toughpad FZ-E1 is powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and runs Windows Embedded 8.1 OS while the Toughpad FZ-X1 packs a 1.7 GHz Qualcomm S4 Pro processor and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. Other specifications include 8 mega pixel rear camera, 1.3 mega pixel front shooter and 3G connectivity.

Furthermore, these Toughpads can survive drops up to 10-feet and boast of dust and water resistance resistance with IP65/ IP68 ratings. Backed up by a 6200mAh battery, these Toughpads can offer up to 14 hours of battery life.

Oppo has launched its much anticipated smartphones Oppo R7 and R7 Plus at an event in Beijing. Under the hood, both handsets are powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor paired with Adreno 305 GPU. Coming to the display, the R7 sports a 5-inch full HD AMOLED (1920×1080 pixels) display while the R7 Plus features a larger 6-inch full HD AMOLED (1920×1080 pixels) display.

As for the design, both devices feature metal body with 6.3mm (Oppo R7) and 7.75mm (Oppo R7 Plus) thickness and 2.5 arc edge screen. Chinese handset maker Meizu has finally made its foray in the Indian market. The company has launched its M1 Note smartphone in India at Rs. 11,999. The handset will go on sale exclusively on Amazon India starting today at 2:00 PM. Meizu will follow open sales for M1 Note unlike other brands like Xiaomi and Honor which follow flash sales model.

As for specifications, the handset is powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS with Flyme 4.0 UI. LG has officially launched its Android wear smartwatch Watch Urbane in India at Rs. 30,000. However it is available to buy at a lower price of Rs. 29,990 from Amazon India. Besides premium built and design, it boasts of LG Call and LG Pulse features. The LG Call allows users to access recent calls and favorite contacts list on paired smartphone and dial them directly from the watch. The LG Pulse on the other hand, measures the heart rate of the wearer every second during exercise. Furthermore, at the end of activity, it will report the average of heart rate during the activity as well as display a graph on LG Health which according to the company, is coming soon.
