Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note 2 Prime Launched: Price, Specs & Features

At an event in China, Xiaomi has launched its Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 smartphone alongside Redmi Note 2 Prime phone and MIUI 7. The Redmi Note 2 will be available in two variants- one with 3G support and other with 4G LTE support.

Specifications of all the three variants are identical except that the Redmi Note 2 Prime packs a higher clocked processor and houses 32GB of internal memory while the Redmi Note 2 comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage. It is unclear as of now whether the handsets will support microSD card for expandable storage or not. All the three handsets feature 5.5-inch full HD display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution and run Android Lollipop operating system wrapped under MIUI 7.

Sony SmartBand 2 With Heart Rate Monitor Announced

Sony has announced its second generation SmartBand- Sony SmartBand 2. Besides the usual functions which most of the fitness trackers perform like notifying about calls, messages and e-mails through vibration and LED lights, it also tracks heart rate, movements, sleep and moments of calm and excitement of the users. The heart rate monitor embedded on device provides users with insights on their health and stress levels.

On a single charge, it is good enough to deliver up to 2 days of battery life. The SnartBand 2 is compatible with Android (running 4.4 KitKat or higher) and iOS (running iOS 8.2 or higher) devices.

Karbonn Aura 9 With 4000mAh Battery Launched At Rs. 6,390: Specifications & Features

Karbonn has expanded its smartphone portfolio with the launch of Karbonn Aura 9. Highlight of this phone is its mammoth 4000mAh battery which is claimed to deliver up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 300 hours of standby time. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. Running Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, it features a 5-inch IPS display with 854×480 pixels resolution.

It sports an 8 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and a  5 mega pixel front facing camera. There is 8GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The handset offers 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options.

Micromax Canvas Tab P680 Launched At Rs. 9,499: Specifications & Features

Micromax has launched its latest tablet- Micromax Canvas Tab P680. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. The device runs Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system and features an 8-inch WXGA IPS display with 1280×800 pixels resolution. The tablet sports a 5 mega pixel auto focus rear camera and a 2 mega pixel front facing camera.

It is backed up by a 4000mAh battery and houses 16GB of internal memory for storage purpose which can be expanded up to 32GB using microSD card. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The tablet also comes with USB OTG support. It also features dual box speakers offering loud and clear audio experience.

Aquaris E4.5, E5 Ubuntu Edition Smartphones Launched In India: Price, Specifications & Features

BQ has launched its Aquaris E4.5 and Aquaris E5 Ubuntu Edition smartphones in the Indian market. Highlight of both devices is that they run Canonical’s Ubuntu operating system. which comes loaded with several gestures and a concept called Scopes.

As far as specifications of the devices are concerned, both smartphones are powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor paired with 1GB of RAM and sport a 5 mega pixel front facing camera. The Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition comes with 4.5 inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels resolution) display, 8GB of internal memory (expandable), 8 mega pixel rear camera with dual flash and 2150mAh battery.

Lava has expanded its Iris series with the launch of Lava Iris Atom 2 smartphone. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM. Running Android 4.4 KitKat (upgradable to Android Lollipop) operating system, it features a 4.5-inch FWVGA TFT display with 854×480 pixels resolution.

There is 8GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32GB using microSD card. The device sports a 5 mega pixel camera with LED flash and Largan lens on the rear and a 0.3 mega pixel front facing camera. Backed up by a 1750mAh battery, the Iris Atom 2 is claimed to deliver up to 6 hours 20 minutes of talk time on 3G network and up to 221 hours of standby time.
