Xiaomi India has announced the launch of Xiaomi Mi Protect plan in India. As the name suggests, Mi Protect refers to Xiaomi’s insurance service for its devices. This service covers accidental and liquid damage.

With this plan, customers will get cashless repairs of their Xiaomi devices at authorized service centers in India. Besides cashless repairs, the company has also announced several other benefits on purchase of Xiaomi Mi Protect service. The price of the Mi Protect starts from Rs. 275 and goes up to Rs. 499 depending on the device model.

Intex has launched a new smartphone in its Aqua series, called the Intex Aqua Super. Under the hood, it is powered by a 64-bit 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor paired with Mali-T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The handset runs Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and features a 5-inch HD IPS display with resolution of 1280×720 pixels.

There is 16GB of internal memory which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. On camera front, it sports an 8 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2 mega pixel front facing camera. Backed up by a 2150mAh battery, it measures 144×75.2×7.65 mm in dimensions and weighs 130 grams.

Samsung is reportedly working on a new smartphone, called the Samsung Galaxy Golden 3. Drawing design clues from its predecessor, dubbed the Galaxy Golden, the upcoming iteration of the flip smartphone also features dual displays.

The Galaxy Golden 3 has been spotted on TENAA, revealing its specifications. The listing however fails to provide an image of the device. As per the TENAA listing, the Galaxy Golden 3 will be powered by an Octa-core  (Quad 2.1GHz + Quad 1.5GHz) Exynos 7420 processor paired with 3GB of RAM.

Gionee has launched Gionee F103 1GB RAM and 2GB RAM variants in the Indian market. To recall, the F103 was launched in India last month in October 2015, as the company’s first ‘made in India’ smartphone. The original F103 houses 2GB of RAM as opposed to 1GB and 3GB RAM of new variants. Rest of the specifications of all three variants are identical.
