Lava Iris Atom 2X With 4.5-inch Display Launched At Rs. 4,499: Specifications & Features

Lava has expanded its Iris series with the launch of Lava Iris Atom 2X smartphone. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Running Android 5.1 operating system, it features a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display with resolution of 854×480 pixels.

There is 8GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. On camera front, it sports a 5 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3 mega pixel front facing camera. Backed up by a 2000mAh battery, it measures 134x66x9.15 mm in dimensions and weighs 132 grams.

Obi Worldphone has announced that it is soon going to make its foray into the Indian market. To recall, Obi Worldphone was co-founded by John Sculley along with Obi CEO Neeraj Chauhan and other partners last year. The company has already launched Obi Worldphone SF1 and SJ1.5 smartphones in Vietnam and Dubai. Now it has announced its plans to enter in India this month in November 2015.

Both smartphones have been designed by San Francisco-based design studio Ammunition. Obi has partnered with Qualcomm, Dolby, Sony, Corning Incorporated, Google, MediaTek, Japan Display, Inc. and Samsung for both smartphones. Pantel technologies has launched its latest budget tablet, called the Pantel Penta T-Pad WS802X. Highlight of this device is that it is company’s first tablet that runs Windows.

Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom processor paired with 1GB of RAM. It features an 8-inch IPS display with resolution of 1280×800 pixels. There is 16GB of internal memory onboard which can be expanded further up to 64GB using microSD card. The tablet sports a 2 mega pixel rear camera as well as a 2 mega pixel front snapper. Backed up by a 4000mAh battery, it is claimed to survive for up to 8 hours on single charge. It measures 207.4×122.1×8.5mm in dimensions. Connectivity options which the Penta T-Pad WS802X offers, include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

Pepsi has finally unveiled its Android smartphone in China, called the Pepsi Phone P1s. The phone has been manufactured by Shenzhen Scooby Communication Equipment Co. Ltd and carries Pepsi branding on its back.

As for specifications, it is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor coupled with Mali 450-MP4 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Ahead of probable launch of Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro on November 24, 2015, Xiaomi Co-Founder and President Bin Lin has shared a teaser image on Weibo. The teaser image shows rear of a golden colored smartphone which could be the Redmi Note 2 Pro. As per the image, the rear of the phone will house primary camera, dual tone LED flash and fingerprint sensor. Moreover, the handset appears to feature metal unibody design.

The Redmi Note 2 Pro was also spotted on TENAA last week, revealing its specifications. As per the listing, the Redmi Note 2 Pro will be powered by a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795) processor paired with PowerVR G6200 GPU and 2GB of RAM.
