Asus has finally launched its Asus Zenfone Max smartphone in the Indian market. To recall, the device was unveiled in India at the ZenFestival in August 2015 alongside Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe, Zenfone 2 Selfie and Zenfone 2 Laser smartphones.
Highlight of the Zenfone Max phone is its 5000mAh battery which is claimed to deliver up to 37.6 hours of talk time on 3G networks, 32.5 hours of Wi-Fi web browsing and 72.9 hours of music playback. The handset can also be used as a power bank for charging other devices.
As for specifications, the phone is powered by a 1GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Running Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system wrapped under Zen UI 2.0, it features a 5.5-inch HD display with 1280×720 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.
The device sports a 13 mega pixel rear camera with dual LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and Laser Auto Focus while there is also a 5 mega pixel front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-angle lens. It houses 16GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. The device offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as connectivity options.

The Asus Zenfone Max is priced at Rs. 9,999. It is now up for pre-orders on e-commerce websites Flipkart and Amazon India. It will also be available to buy from Asus Exclusive Stores and other retailers later in January.
