Asus Zenfone 5 Lite- Price, Specifications And Details

Taiwanese electronics company ASUS has launched a new smartphone Asus Zenfone 5 Lite (ZenFone 5- A502CG) in India. It is the lighter sibling of its predecessor Asus Zenfone 5 smartphone which was launched earlier this year. Zenfone 5 Lite is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor with Hyper-Threading and runs on Android 4.4 operating system with ZenUI which provides faster performance. It features a 5 inch qHD IPS display. It is equipped with 1GB of RAM alongwith 8GB of internal storage (Expandable up to 64 GB via microSD card).

It sports an 8 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash which provides superior quality pictures and 0.3 mega pixel front facing camera. It packs a 2500 mAh battery. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and AGPS.

While the elder sibling Asus Zenfone 5 is powered by 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor and runs on Android 4.3 operating system with ZenUI. It comes with 2 GB RAM and 8 GB ROM. It sports an 8 mega pixel rear camera and 2 mega pixel front facing camera. It packs a 2110 mAh battery. Apart from upgraded operating system and better battery back up, Asus Zenfone 5 Lite does not come with any unique features to distinguish itself from Zenfone 5.

Asus also launched its PadFone in India in November 2014 at Rs. 15,999 in which the smartphone is powered by 1.6 GHz Intel Atom dual-core processor, running on on Android 4.3. It sports an 8 mega-pixel rear camera and 2 mega-pixel front camera. Featuring 1 GB RAM and 8 GB of internal storage, it packs a 1170 mAh battery, while the PadFone station comes with a 7-inch IPS display and 2100 mAh battery.

It features a 4.70-inch display (720×1280 resolution). It comes with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. It sports an 8 mega pixel rear camera and 1.6 mega pixel front facing camera. Xiaomi Redmi Note is available at much cheaper price with similar features.
