The new Asus ZenFone 4 Max is priced at RUB 13,900 (approx Rs 15,000) for the Snapdragon 425 SoC/ 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage variant. The Taiwanese brand has launched the new smartphone in Russia. As of now, there is no word on Indian launch date and price. Apparently, the new ZenFone 4 Max (ZC554KL) is the first of the six ZenFone models expected to launch this month.

The new Asus ZenFone 4 Max has been launched with two different chipsets. It is unclear whether it’ll be dependent on different internal storage or different markets. While one of the variants is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC, the other is backed by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. It is supported by up to 4GB of RAM and 16GB/ 32GB/ 64GB internal storage. The storage can be further expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card in a non-hybrid dual-SIM slot.
The ZenFone 4 Max sports a 5.5-inch IPS display with full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) resolution and Gorilla Glass 2.5D. On the camera front, it sports a dual camera setup (13-megapixel + 13-megapixel) with f/2.0 aperture, 120-degree field of view and a LED flash. There is also an 8-megapixel front camera with a f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling. The front camera is capable of stitching together 140-degree panoramas.
The new handset is backed by a huge 5000mAh battery with fast charging support and a PowerMaster power saving mode. Just like previous Asus Max smartphones, it can also be used as a power bank.

The new Asus ZenFone 4 Max runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with the company’s latest ZenUI version on top. It measures 154 x 76.9 x 8.9mm and weighs 181 grams. Connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM and a 3.5mm jack. Sensors on the device include a Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, and Gyroscope.
