Asus has launched its high-end laptop, called the Asus ZenBook Pro UX501 in India. One of the most talked about feature of this device is its 4K display.
It is powered by a 2.6GHz (Turbo up to 3.6GHz) Intel Core i7-4720HQ processor (4 cores, 8 threads, 6MB cache) coupled with Nvidia GeForce GTX960M GPU with 2GB of GDDR5 RAM for graphics memory and 8GB of RAM. It features a 15.6-inch 4K UHD display with resolution of 3840×2160 pixels, pixel density of 282ppi and runs Windows 8.1 operating system which is upgradable to Windows 10. There is 512GB SSD with read/ write speeds up to 1400MB/s. With 96Whr battery, it can survive for up to 6 hours on moderate usage.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.0. There are three SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports plus HDMI, mini DisplayPort and optional Thunderbolt connectivity. It also comes with HD Web camera for video calling.

The Asus ZenBook Pro UX501 is priced at Rs. 1,15,999 and is available to buy exclusively from online retailer Flipkart and Asus exclusive stores.
Asus is also likely to launch its Zenfone Go smartphone in India for Rs. 9,999. It is powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Running Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, wrapped under Zen UI, it features a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels resolution) display. Other features include 8GB internal memory (expandable up to 64GB via microSD card), 8 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash, 2 mega pixel front facing camera and a 2070mAh battery. There is no word on availability of the smartphone as of now.
