Asus has announced its three new 2-in-1 laptops in the Transformer series at Computex 2016. New additions in the Transformer series include Asus Transformer 3, Transformer 3 Pro and Transformer Mini. All the three laptop-tablet hybrids in the Transformer series, are powered by Intel Core i7 processors. On software front, the devices run Windows 10 operating system and feature USB Type-C port. The Asus Transformer 3 is powered by Intel Core i7 processor paired with 8GB of RAM. It features a 12.6-inch display with 2880×1920 pixels resolution and 275ppi pixel density. The device houses 512GB of SSD and features a fingerprint scanner for additional security. It also supports a front facing camera with Windows Hello integration.
The Asus Transformer 3 Pro is powered by an Intel Core i7 processor paired with 16GB of RAM. It features a 12.6-inch display with 2880×1920 pixels resolution and with 275ppi pixel density. Also onboard, is 1TB SSD, a 13 mega pixel rear camera and a front facing camera with Windows Hello facial recognition integration. Connectivity options include USB Type-C 3.1 connector, a Thunderbolt 3 port, USB 3.0 and HDMI port. The Transformer 3 Pro measures 8.3mm and is thinner than Surface Pro 4. It comes with Harman Kardon audio with dual front stereo speakers for enhanced music listening experience.
The Asus Transformer Mini features a 10.1-inch display. It weighs 790 grams and measures 8.2mm in thickness. It features an inbuilt fingerprint sensor and comes with an integrated kickstand and a smart hinge.
Price & Availability
The Transformer 3 is will be available for price starting at $799 (approximately Rs. 53,600) while the Transformer 3 Pro starts at $999 (approximately Rs. 67,000). There is no word on pricing and availability of Transformer Mini.
