The Asus ROG Phone 5 will be launched on March 10th at 7 PM Taipei time (4:30 PM IST). However, there is no information about its price tag as yet.
The new handset is the successor of the ROG Phone 3 that was introduced in July last year. The company is skipping the number ‘4’.
Recently, Asus slashed the price of its ROG Phone 3 in India. It is now available at Rs 46,999 for the base model.

As per recent reports and updates, the ASUS ROG Phone 5 will come with a large 6000mAh battery (2 x 3000mAh batteries) with 65W fast wired charging support.
The upcoming handset is tipped to feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.
The ASUS ROG Phone 5 will be powered by a 1.8Ghz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor and 8GB/ 12GB/ 16GB/ 18GB RAM. It will run Android 11 OS.
In terms of dimensions, the Asus ROG Phone 5 is said to measures 172.834 x 77.252 x 10.29 mm. The rear panel will also feature a dot-matrix Aura Lighting that shows the ROG logo (on the bottom-left part).
The upcoming smartphone is said to sport 64MP triple rear cameras. It is likely to run Android 11 OS out-of-the-box.

The Asus ROG Phone 3 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ processor along with Adreno 650 GPU and up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM.
The new handset comes with up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage and NTFS support for external USB hard drives. It is backed by a 6,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.
The GameCool 3 heat-dissipating system includes a redesigned copper 3D vapor chamber and a larger graphite film. It also comes with a clip-on AeroActive Cooler 3 accessory with a kickstand and a built-in fan.

For selfies and video calling, the gaming phone sports a 24MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture. While the rear camera can record up to 4K videos, the selfie camera supports up to 1080p videos.
The dual-SIM smartphone features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with Full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 144Hz refresh rate, 270Hz touch sampling rate, and HDR10+ support.
Additionally, the touchscreen comes with a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection, a TUV Low Blue Light solution, and a Flicker Reduction-certified technology.
