Price and Availability
As per recent reports, the Asus ROG Phone 2 will be launched in China on July 23. It is tipped to come in two variants with a starting price of CNY 4,399 (approx Rs 44,400). As of now, there is no information about its Indian price or launch date.
The original Asus ROG Phone was introduced at $899 (approx Rs 62,260) in June last year. It was launched in India at Rs 69,999 in November 2018.

According to recent leaks and rumors, the upcoming gaming phone will be powered by a 2.95GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor along with up to 12GB RAM and 128GB/ 512GB/ 1TB internal storage. The new Qualcomm SoC is touted to deliver 15 percent faster graphics performance than the Snapdragon 855 SoC.
The Asus ROG Phone 2 is expected to sport an improved 120Hz OLED display (up from 90Hz display of ROG phone). The 6.59-inch touchscreen will come with full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution and 16 million colors. An in-display fingerprint sensor might also be included.
In terms of optics, the upcoming handset will sport a dual-camera setup on the back (with a 48-megapixel primary sensor). For selfies and video calling, it will sport a 24-megapixel front camera.
The 5,800mAh battery will come with fast charging support. Connectivity options on the device include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS/ A-GPS. The rear panel will feature the ROG branding and RGB light.
Additionally, Asus has teamed up with Tencent Games for in-depth optimization of game content according to the hardware. This, along with a new GameCool system, will offer a better gaming experience to users.
