Asus has expanded its tablet portfolio with the launch of Asus Fonepad 7 (FE171CG) & MeMOPad 8 (ME581CL) tablets in India. As for the specifications, the Asus Fonepad 7 (FE171CG) packs a 1.2 GHz dual-core Intel Clover Trail Plus processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM. Featuring a 7 inch (1024 × 600 pixel resolution) display, it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with ZenUI. The tablet sports an 8 mega pixel rear camera and a 2 mega pixel secondary camera. It comes with 16 GB inbuilt storage (expandable up to 64 GB via microSD card), 3950 mAh battery along with 3G and voice calling support.

The Asus MeMOPad 8 (ME581CL) is powered by 2.3 GHz Intel Atom Z3580 quad-core processor paired with 2 GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat with Asus ZenUI on top. The tablet comes with 8 inch display with 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It sports 5 mega pixel rear camera and 1.2 mega pixel front snapper. Inbuilt storage on the MeMOPad 8 is 16 GB which is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card and it packs a 4350 mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC. Additionally, the tablet comes with 5 GB Asus webstorage space and a stylus pen.
