Apple unveiled its latest flagship smartphones iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus earlier this month. Both the phones will be up for pre-orders in India via Apple’s authorized e-commerce reseller, Flipkart, starting midnight tonight (Thursday, September 29 at 23:59 PM). While pre-orders in India are starting tonight, they will go on sale starting October 7. As for pricing, the iPhone 7 will be available starting at Rs. 60,000 (32GB variant). The iPhone 7 Plus will be available starting at Rs. 72,000 (32GB storage version).

India Pricing & Availability

The iPhone 7 carries a price tag of Rs. 60,000 for the 32GB variant, Rs. 70,000 for 128GB variant and Rs. 80,000 for the 256GB storage variant. The iPhone 7 Plus will cost Rs. 72,000 for 32GB storage version, Rs. 82,000 for 128GB model and Rs. 92,000 for the 256GB storage version.

Apple has finally launched its much anticipated flagship smartphones- Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, at an event in San Francisco. Both iPhones come with several upgrades over the predecessors like better display, faster chipset, improved cameras and more. Both phones will be available in three storage variants- 32GB, 128GB and 256GB. The new iPhones will run iOS 10 which will be rolled out for existing iPhone users on September 13.

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus pack a quad-core Apple A10 Fusion processor which is claimed to offer 40 percent faster performance and better Graphics performance than Apple A9. The iPhone 7 sports a 4.7-inch Retina HD display with 3D touch while the iPhone 7 Plus comes with a larger 5.5-inch IPS 3D Touch (1920×1080 pixels resolution) display.

While the iPhone 7 has a 12 mega pixel iSight camera on the rear with quad LED two-tone flash, f/1.8 aperture, OIS, 6-element lens, High-speed Sensor and 4K video recording, the iPhone 7 Plus is equipped with dual 12 mega pixel rear cameras. There is also a 7 mega pixel Facetime camera onboard.

As for design, both iPhones come with some minor changes. The antenna bands have been moved to the top and bottom sides. Also, Apple has ditched the 3.5mm audio jack and the latest iPhones will use wireless EarPods with Lightning connector. The phones also come bundled with lightning to 3.5mm adapter. Both iPhones bears IP67 rating for resistance against dust and water. They also feature a new touch sensitive home button with new generation Taptic Engine.

Apple has also unveiled its Apple Watch 2 at the event. The new Apple Watch comes with a faster processor, GPS chip, brighter display and more.

Global Pricing  & Availability

• The Apple iPhone 7 will be available at $649 for the 32GB version, $749 for the 128GB  model and $849 for the 256GB variant.
• The Apple iPhone 7 Plus costs $769 for the 32GB version, $869 for the 128GB model and $969 for the 256GB variant.
• Pre-booking will start on September 9 in more than 25 countries and they will on sale starting September 16. Both phones come in Jet Black, Black, Rose Gold, Gold and Silver color options.
• As for pricing and availability in India, the new iPhones will go on sale starting October 7 at price starting at Rs. 60,000.
• The Apple Watch Series 2 will also go on sale in India starting October 7. The smartwatch will be available starting at Rs. 32,900 for the gold, rose gold, space grey aluminum, or space black stainless steel variants. The Ceramic Apple Watch Edition costs Rs. 1,10,900.
• The Nike+ Apple Watch Series 2 model will cost Rs. 32,900 for 38mm variant and Rs. 34,900 for the 42mm variant.
• The Lightning Connector Earpods and Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter will also be available to buy separately for Rs. 2,500 and Rs. 900 respectively.
