- Open your main system Settings
- Navigate to, and tap on Sound and notification/ Sound
- Tap on Default notification ringtone. If it’s grayed out try turning your volume back up
- Now, choose a sound. Just tap on a sound to hear it in action
- Once selected, tap on OK to finish
- That’s it!
Alternatively, you can use your own audio files via a third-party app such as Ringtone Maker, Zedge, ES File Explorer, etc.
For example, the ES File Explorer activates the file you tap on as a notification sound. Then, it is available to choose from the default Android sound chooser.
