The new smartwatch is aimed at sports and fitness enthusiasts. It comes with features like Firstbeat sports analysis and the Huami PAI health assessment system.

The new smartwatch sports a 1.28-inch square touchscreen display that is protected by 3rd generation Corning Gorilla Glass with AF coating.
The water-resistant (up to 50m) wearable is made of polycarbonate. It measures 46.5 x 55.6 x 14mm and weighs 48 grams.

The 200mAh battery can last up to 14 days in daily use mode. While in basic watch mode, it can last up to 90 days, with continuous GPS usage it can go up to 23 hours.
The company claims that the battery can be charged in about 2 hours through the magnetic charging stand.
The Amazfit Ares is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. Connectivity options include Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, and GLONASS.
Sensors on the device include a bio-tracking optical sensor, a 3-axis acceleration sensor, a barometer, and a buzzer.
The new smartwatch uses Huami’s sports algorithm that monitors and records 40 key sports indicators like heart rate, speed, and altitude.

The Amazfit Ares supports up to 70 sports modes including activities like cycling, swimming, dancing, archery, aerobics, yoga, etc.
A Firstbeat analysis system offers professional data like VO2 Max, Recovery Time, Training Load, and Training Effect.
Additionally, a Huami-PAI (Personalized Activity Intelligence) health assessment system offers personal activity information by using 24-hour daily monitoring, heart rate data, daily activity intensity, and personal physiological data.

The Amazfit Ares is priced in China at CNY 499 (approx Rs 5,300). It is now up for pre-sale with a CNY 40 discount (approx Rs 430).
The new smartwatch comes in Army Green and Iwaguro (Black) color options. You can choose from multiple straps such as silicon, rubber, leather, and a Youth Edition Colour Wristband.
Sales will start in China on June 1. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price and launch date.
