The new smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G96 4G processor along with an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU and up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM.
The Redmi Note 12S is backed by a 5,000mAh cell and offers 33W fast charging support. The 128GB/ 256GB UFS2.2 storage can be further expanded (up to 1TB) via a dedicated microSD card slot.
Cameras
On the back, the new handset sports a triple-camera setup with a 108-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and an LED flash.
For selfies and video calling, the Redmi Note 12S comes equipped with a 16-megapixel front camera. It is housed in a center-aligned hole-punch cutout at the top.

The Redmi Note 12S runs Android 13 OS with MIUI 14 on top and supports an AI face unlock feature. Connectivity options include a USB Type-C charging port and a 3.5mm audio jack.
In terms of dimensions, the new smartphone measures 159.87 x 73.87 x 8.09mm and weighs 176 grams. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the side.
The 6.43-inch AMOLED DotDisplay comes with full-HD+ (2400 x 1080), up to 90Hz refresh rate, a peak local brightness of 1,000nits, a contrast ratio of 4,500,000:1, a pixel density of 409ppi, and supports Reading Mode 3.0.

Price and Availability
The Redmi Note 12S comes in two RAM/ storage variants – 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256 GB. It will be available in Ice Blue, Pearl Green, and Onyx Black color options.
Xiaomi has not confirmed the price or Indian launch date yet. As of now, the Redmi Note 12S is available for purchase via Xiaomi’s Online Store in Poland.
