The new e-book reader is the successor of the Mi Reader that was launched last year. The new e-Ink display is touted to be ideal for reading as it reduces eye strain.
The highlight of the Xiaomi Mi Reader Pro is a 7.8-inch display with high pixel density. It also boasts of adjustable reading light and customisable colour tones.

The Xiaomi Mi Reader Pro is powered by a quad-core processor along with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It runs on the Android 8.1 operating system.
The e-book reader is backed by a 3,200mAh battery that supports 10W charging. It comes with an EPDC controller for lower power consumption and smooth page-turning.
The 7.8-inch display comes with a resolution of 1,878 x 1,404 pixels and a pixel density of 300ppi. It offers 24 levels of adjustability for the color temperature (you can choose between warm and cool color tones).
In terms of dimensions, the Mi Reader Pro measures 192.1 x 138.6 x 7mm and weighs just 251 grams. It comes in a single black color option.
The e-book reader comes with support for voice search, Baidu cloud, WeChat Reading, and various file formats (.txt, .epub, .pdf, .xlsx, .ppt, .doc, etc).
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. Additionally, you can also transfer books to the Mi Reader Pro through a WLAN or a USB connection.

The Xiaomi Mi Reader Pro is priced in China at CNY 1,099 (approx Rs 12,400). It is available for purchase through Xiaomi’s crowdfunding platform Youpin.
As of now, there is no information about the Indian price tag and launch date.
