The Sony Xperia 8 Lite is priced at JPY 29,800 (approx Rs 20,800). It comes in White and Black glossy finishes.
The new handset will be available in Japan on September 1. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price tag and launch date.

The Sony Xperia 8 Lite is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor and 4GB RAM. The 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via a micro SD card (up to 512GB).
In terms of optics, the smartphone sports a dual-camera setup on the back. It combines a 12MP primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture) with an 8MP secondary sensor (f/2.4 aperture).
Camera features on the device include 4K video recording, 21:9 video capturing, EIS, 2X digital zoom, and bokeh effect.
For selfies and video calling, the handset sports an 8MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture. It is backed by a 2,870mAh battery.

The Android smartphone features a 6.0-inch LCD Triluminous display with full-HD+ resolution and a 21:9 aspect ratio. It is IPX5/8 water resistance certified.
The Sony Xperia 8 Lite measures 158 x 69 x 8.1mm and weighs 170 grams. Designwise, it looks similar to the Sony Xperia 10.
A fingerprint sensor is placed on the side. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, and USB Type-C.
