The new handset comes with several upgrades over the Vivo Nex 3 (launched last year). It comes with a Snapdragon 865 SoC, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage.
Additionally, the waterfall AMOLED display comes HDR10+ certification. The company has also added dual-mode 5G support. Let’s take a closer look:

The Vivo Nex 3S 5G is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor along up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.
In terms of optics, the flagship phone sports a triple camera setup on the back. It uses a quad-cell pixel binning to deliver 16-megapixel images.
The 64MP primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture) is combined with a 13MP wide-angle lens, and a 13MP telephoto lens (supports up to 20x digital zoom).
For selfies and video calling, the Vivo Nex 3S 5G sports a 16MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture. It is backed by a 4,500mAh battery with 44W ultra flash charge technology.

The Vivo Nex 3S 5G runs the Android 10 operating system with Funtouch OS 10 custom skin on top.
Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, dual-frequency GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The dual-SIM smartphone sports a 6.89-inch AMOLED waterfall display with full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,256 pixels) resolution, HDR10+ support, 18.8:9 aspect ratio and 99.6 percent screen-to-body ratio.
The company has also added an in-display fingerprint sensor. Other sensors on the device include accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, proximity sensor, and an ambient light sensor.

The Vivo Nex 3S 5G is priced at CNY 4,998 (approx Rs 50,000) for the 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage variant. The 12GB RAM/ 256GB storage model costs CNY 5,298 (approx Rs 53,000).
The new handset comes Sky Blue, Black, and Orange color options. Sales will start in China on March 14. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price or launch date.
