The Sony Xperia 1 II will be available in Europe starting late spring this year. It comes in Black and Purple color options.
The pricing details are yet to be revealed. The company has also unveiled the Sony Xperia 10 II and Xperia Pro smartphones.

The new handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and 8GB RAM. The 256GB UFS storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 1TB).
The Sony Xperia 1 II is backed by a 4,000mAh battery with wireless charging support. A USB PD fast charger is bundled in the box.

On the back, the smartphone sports a quad-camera setup with a 12MP 1/1.7-inch Exmor RS sensor (dual PDAF, f/1.7 aperture, optical image stabilization).
The cameras setup also uses a 12MP 1/3.4-inch sensor (f/2.4), a 12MP 1/2.6-inch sensor (f/2.2), and a 3D Time of Flight (ToF) sensor with an autofocus lens.
Camera features include Zeiss optics (with Zeiss T* coating), touch focus, Real-time Eye AF, 3x optical zoom, up to 20fps AF/ AE tracking burst, and 60fps continuous AF/ AE calculation.
Additionally, the Cinema Pro app (co-developed with the ChineAlta and Alpha divisions) offers multiple photography-centric features.
For selfies and video calling, the Sony Xperia 1 II features an 8MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture and 84 degrees field of view (FoV).

The Sony Xperia 1 II runs the Android 10 OS. Connectivity options include 5G (sub6 bands), Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm audio jack.
The dual-SIM smartphone features a 6.5-inch HDR OLED CinemaWide display 4K resolution (1644 x 3840 pixels), 21:9 aspect ratio, and Motion Blur reduction technology.
The Sony Xperia 1 II is water and dust resistant (IP65/ IP68 certified). It measures 166 x 72 x 7.9mm and weighs around 181 grams.
For gaming enthusiasts, Sony has added DualShock 4 direct connection support and a Game Enhancer feature.
Additional features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, front-firing stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio support, and 360 Reality Audio technology.
