The Amazon Echo Flex Plug-In Smart Speaker is priced in India at Rs 2,999. It is now available for pre-order. Shipping starts next month.

The Amazon Echo Flex can be directly plugged into a standard electrical outlet. It will help users to save on space by avoiding wires and chargers.
You will be able to easily control Alexa-compatible smart home devices from anywhere in the room with far-field voice control.
The plug-in smart speaker comes with a built-in USB Type-A port that allows you to charge your smartphone or other devices while keeping Echo Flex plugged in.
You will be able to command Alexa to control compatible smart home devices, switch on the lights as you enter your home, or turn off the AC as you leave the room.
The Amazon Echo Flex works with devices such as smart lights and plugs from different brands (Philips, SYSKA LED, Oakter, TP-Link, etc).
Users can also connect Echo Flex to preferred speakers via Bluetooth or a 3.5 mm audio cable.
Additionally, the Amazon Echo Flex comes with multiple layers of privacy controls. This includes a microphone off button that electronically disconnects the microphone.
You can also view, hear, and delete your voice recordings at Alexa Privacy Settings or in the Alexa app at any time. To delete by voice, you can simply say, “Alexa, delete what I just said” or “Alexa, delete everything I said today”.
Users will also be able to make announcements on other Echo devices in the household, add items to the shopping list or check the latest scores, etc. Responses will come through the speaker on the device that’s been optimized for Alexa’s voice.

Amazon claims that the Echo Flex is the most affordable way to voice control compatible smart home devices and use Alexa at more places in your home.
“We are happy to introduce Echo Flex for users in India to access Alexa even more conveniently now from any room in the house,” said Parag Gupta, Head of Amazon Devices.
The e-commerce giant claimed that the new plug-in smart speaker addresses customers’ demand for more options on where they can place Echo devices across their homes.
“With its compact form, Echo Flex can be plugged in directly into an electrical socket to provide all the functionalities of an Echo device,” he added.
The new Echo Flex will join the already available Echo Dot, Echo, Echo Plus, Echo Show, Echo Show 5, Echo Studio, and companion Echo devices (Echo Sub, Echo Link and Echo Link Amp).
