Realme has finally launched the successor of it Realme 2 smartphone in India. The new handset comes with an upgraded front camera. The Realme 3 is priced in India at Rs 8,999 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant. Whereas the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage model costs Rs 10,999. The new handset will be exclusively available via Flipkart and Realme website. The first sale will be held on March 12 at 12 pm IST.
The new handset comes in Dynamic Black, Black, and Radiant Blue color options. Only the first two models will be available on March 12. The Radiant Blue variant will arrive on March 26.
As part of launch offers, users can get an instant discount of Rs 500 on purchases made via HDFC Bank cards. Additionally, you can get Jio benefits (worth Rs 5,300) on Flipkart and 20 percent SuperCash on MobiKwik (on purchases via the Realme website).

The new handset is powered by a 2.1GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P70 processor and 3GB/ 4GB RAM. The 32GB/ 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot (up to 256GB). The 4,230mAh battery comes with an optimization mode support.
In terms of optics, the Realme 3 sports a vertically aligned dual camera setup on the back. It combines a 13-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture) with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. Camera features include PDAF, Nightscape mode, Hybrid HDR, Chroma Boost, Portrait Mode, and scene recognition.
For selfies and video calling, the new handset sports a 13-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture and 1.12-micron pixels. Additional features include AI Beautification, HDR, and AI Face Unlock.

The Realme 3 runs the latest Color OS 6.0 (based on Android Pie operating system). It will be shipped with an unlocked bootloader. Additionally, a Riding Mode feature has been added alongside Match Cards on AI Board and Camera2 API support. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.2, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, OTG, and a Micro-USB port.
The dual-SIM smartphone features a 6.2-inch display with HD+ (720 x 1520 pixels) resolution, 450 nits peak brightness, 19:9 aspect ratio, and 88.3 percent screen-to-body-ratio. It also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
The Realme 3 measures 156.1 x 75.6 x 8.3mm and weighs 175 grams. It sports a 3D gradient unibody design and comes in three color options. Sensors on the device include a fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, and proximity sensor.
