The Honor 20 and 20 Pro smartphones will be launched on May 21 in London. Now, the company has confirmed that the new series will arrive in India on June 11 alongside the Honor 20 Lite.
The Honor 20 is tipped to be priced in China at 2999 yuan (approx Rs 31,740) for the 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant. While the 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage model is said to cost 3399 yuan (approx Rs 35,975), the 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage variant will cost 3799 yuan (approx Rs 40,210).

According to recent leaks, the Honor 20 is powered by Huawei’s Kirin 980 (2 x Cortex A76 2.6 GHz + 2 x Cortex A76 1.92 GHz + 4 x Cortex A55 1.8 GHz) processor with 720 MHz ARM Mali-G76MP10 GPU. It comes in 6GB / 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB / 256GB storage options.
In terms of optics, the new handset sports quad camera set up on the back. The 48-megapixel 1/2-inch Sony IMX586 sensor comes with ‘4-in-1 Light Fusion’ system (saves a 12-megapixel image by default) and f/1.8 aperture.
The Sony sensor is said to be a customized version (built in collaboration with Sony). It will sport a Red-Yellow-Yellow-Blue (RYYB) filter instead of the regular Red-Green-Green-Blue (RGGB). Recently, Huawei customized the 48-megapixel Sony IMX600 sensor on Huawei P30 Pro with an RYYB filter array.
Additionally, it features a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens (117-degree field of view, f/2.2 aperture), a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens (f/2.4 aperture).
For selfies and video calling, the smartphone sports a 32-megapixel front camera. It is backed by a 3650mAh battery with 22.5W (4.5V-5A) fast charging support.

The Honor 20 runs on Android 9.0 Pie operating system out-of-the-box with EMUI 9.0 on top. It sports a 6.1-inch OLED display with full-HD+(2340×1080 pixels) resolution and an In-display fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C.

As per recent leaks and rumors, the Honor 20 Pro will also sport a quad camera set up on the back (with a square periscope camera that will add zooming capabilities similar to the Huawei P30 Pro). However, unlike the Honor 20, it might come with a regular Sony IMX600 sensor with the regular RGGB filter, optical image stabilization, and f/1.4 aperture.
Additionally, it features a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens (117-degree field of view, f/2.2 aperture), an 8-megapixel depth sensor (3X optical zoom, OIS, f/2.4 aperture), and a 2-megapixel macro lens (f/2.4 aperture).
Camera features will include with an ‘AI Ultra Clarity Mode’, a laser autofocus module alongside the LED flash.
A new leak shows the upcoming smartphone featuring a white gradient design with a tinge of pink. It will also come in Red, White, Blue, and Green options. The Honor 20 Pro is said to sport a 6.5-inch OLED display with full-HD+(2340×1080 pixels) resolution and in-display fingerprint scanner.
Additionally, the premium handset will feature a hole-punch at the top left corner of the screen. This will allow the handset to have virtually non-existent bezels. A SIM-card slot can also be seen at the upper left edge.
The Pro variant will also support reverse wireless charging. Other specs are likely to be the same as the Honor 20 model. However, the selfie camera will use a pop-up selfie mechanism.

The mid-range smartphone handset comes with few upgrades over the Honor 10 Lite. It is priced in Malaysia at RM 949 (approx Rs 15,900). In the UK, it comes with a price tag of GBP 249 (approx Rs 22,500).
The Honor 20 Lite runs on Android 9 Pie operating system with EMUI 9.0. The new handset is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710 processor along with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage (expanded through a microSD card). It is backed by a 3,400mAh battery.
The dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone sports a 6.21-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 415ppi. It comes in three color options – Phantom Red, Phantom Blue, and Midnight Blue. A fingerprint sensor is placed at the back.
In terms of optics, the Honor 20 Lite sports a triple rear camera setup on the back. It combines a 24-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture) with an 8-megapixel secondary sensor (a 120-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, f/2.4 aperture), and a 2-megapixel depth sensor (f/2.4 aperture). For selfies, the smartphone sports a 32-megapixel front camera (f/2.0 aperture). It also supports ‘face unlock’ feature.
