The Honor Play 8A is priced in China at 799 Yuan (approx Rs 8,100) for the 32GB storage variant. The 64GB internal storage model comes with a price tag of 999 Yuan (approx Rs10,100). The new handset is available for sale on VMall website. It comes in four color options – Red, Black, Blue, and Gold.

The new smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 processor and 3GB RAM. The 32GB/ 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card slot (up to 256GB). It is backed by a 3020mAh battery with support for 10W fast charging.
In terms of optics, the Honor Play 8A sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, PDAF (phase detection autofocus), and LED flash. For selfies and video calling, the handset sports an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The Honor Play 8A runs Android 9.0 Pie operating system with the company’s latest EMUI 9.0 on top. Connectivity options include 4G LTE support, Wifi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, micro USB port and 3.5 mm audio jack.
The dual-SIM handset sports a 6.09-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ (1560 x 720 pixels) resolution and waterdrop-shaped notch. While there is no fingerprint sensor, the new smartphone comes with face unlock feature.

The new smartphone is powered by the latest 7nm octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor. Additionally, it comes with the GPU Turbo gaming technology and Link Turbo technology (combines Wi-FI and LTE connections with AI capabilities). Honor also claims that the premium handset is designed with 5-axis ring dispensing technology, 0.1mm precision assembly, and a customized camera lens.
