Xiaomi has unveiled a new feature phone, called Qin AI. The cheap handset has been added by the company on the Youpin crowdfunding platform. The Qin AI is currently listed on Xiaomi Youpin (crowdfunding platform) for just 199 yuan (approx Rs 1,999). Shipping will start from September 15.

The new feature phone comes in two models – Qin1 and Qin1s. While the Qin1s is a 4G phone, the Qin1 is a 2G-only phone. Both models sport a 2.8-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 240 x 320pixels and a Corning Gorilla glass protection.
The Xiaomi Qin AI Feature Phone is powered by a 1.3GHz SC9820E ARM Cortex A53 dual-core processor along with ARM Mali T82GPU, and 256MB RAM. The 512MB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card slot.
The 1480mAh battery offers up to 15 days of battery life on standby, and a talk time of 15 hours.

The thin device is only 8.5mm in thickness. It comes in White and Gray color options. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, 2G, 3G, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm audio jack. Check the introduction video below.
The dual-SIM comes with dual standby support, Wi-Fi, alarm clock, and weather report. An IR blaster allows you to use the feature phone as a remote control for the TV, air-conditioner, set-top box, and other home gadgets.
The new feature phone runs Android OS called Mocor 5. Additionally, artificial intelligence technology enables the phone to offer real-time multi-lingual voice translation services. It supports up to 17 languages. The AI can also answer questions and recite poetry to children.

Xiaomi is known for bringing premium features to cheap devices. However, the company is yet to launch a feature phone. Qin AI is a third-party device, to be shipped by Shenzhen Duojiao Technology Co., Ltd. The new feature phone comes with smartphone-like features and a aesthetic design.
