Garmin has launched a new smartwatch at the CES 2018. The Garmin Forerunner 645 Music GPS Smartwatch comes with integrated storage for music playback. The company also launched a Speak Plus In-Dash Cam with Alexa support. The new smartwatch also comes in a cheaper variant without music storage. The Garmin Forerunner 645 Music GPS smartwatch is priced at $449.99 (approx Rs 28,600). Another version (without music storage) costs $399.99 (approx Rs 25,400). The new smartwatch will be available in the US from mid-February via Garmin, Best Buy, Amazon, and other retailers. Pre-orders can be placed until February 10. As of now, there is no information about an Indian launch or price.

The Garmin Forerunner 645 Music features a 1.2-inch Always-on Garmin Chroma display with a resolution of 240 x 240 pixels. The sunlight-visible screen is protected by a chemically strengthened glass. The water-resistant smartwatch weighs 42 grams.
The new wearable sports a stainless-steel metal frame. It comes with interchangeable bands (Black and Cerise colour options). Additionally, you can go to the Connect IQ store to download and install new watch faces, and widgets. You can also install apps like Uber ETA, SmartThings, and AccuWeather MinuteCast.
The new smartwatch comes with a built-in heart rate sensor. It can track activities such as cycling, running, and swimming. Training features from Firstbeat are added to measure exact exercise volume. The LiveTrack allows users to follow their friends and view social media updates. You can also check emails.

The highlight of the new Garmin Forerunner 645 Music is its integrated storage that allows users to store up to 500 songs on the smartwatch itself. You pair the smartwatch with Bluetooth headphones. Users can also sync music for offline playlists from streaming services like iHeartRadio and Deezer. Tnew smartwatch comes with a seven-day battery life and claims to offer up to five hours (in GPS mode) with music.
The Garmin Forerunner 645 Music is compatible with Android and iOS devices. It comes with Bluetooth Smart and ANT+ technology support. Thanks to Garmin Pay integration, it can be used as a contactless payment solution using a dedicated wallet.
