The Apple iPhone X (256GB) is priced at Rs 1,02,000 in India, which makes it the most expensive smartphone in the country. The 64GB model will be available in India at Rs 89,000 (64GB variant) from November 3.
On the other hand, the OnePlus 5 with 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage is priced at Rs 32,999. While the 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant costs Rs 37,999. In this segment, the OnePlus 5 has a huge advantage over the Apple flagship device.

The Apple iPhone X is powered by a Hexa-core A11 Bionic processor which is being touted by Apple as ‘the smartest chip ever in a smartphone’. The new processor is also supported by a 30 percent faster GPU.
On the other hand, the OnePlus 5 is powered by a fast octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. It is backed by a 3300mAh battery with Dash Charging support.
Camera
Both handsets feature a dual camera setup on the back. The Apple iPhone X uses two 12-megapixel cameras with f/1.8 and f/2.4 aperture. Camera features include Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), quad-LED True Tone flash, Portrait Mode (allows you to take images with depth of field effects) and Portrait Lighting (allows you to select the lighting effect from different options). The 7-megapixel TrueDepth camera on the front also comes with Portrait Mode and Portrait Lighting features.
On the other hand, the dual camera setup on OnePlus 5 combines a 16-megapixel primary lens with f/1.7 aperture and a 20-megapixel telephoto lens. It also features a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling. On paper, both devices look quite competent. However, we will have to wait for test results in real-world conditions.

Features
The new Apple iPhone X supports wireless charging via Qi wireless charging standard. A 3D face recognition feature called Face ID uses Apple’s TrueDepth camera system to detect your face. Additional features include a Flood Illuminator, customisable animated emojis called Animojis, and ‘Tap to wake’.
While many of the previously mentioned features are absent on OnePlus 5, it does come with a Dash Charging feature, a reading mode, and new gesture controls. A fingerprint scanner is integrated into the home button.
Design and Display
The Apple iPhone X sports a 5.8-inch edge-to-edge OLED display with a resolution of 1125 x 2436pixels. The ‘Super Retina’ display supports HDR 10, Dolby Vision and Apple’s TrueTone technology. The bezel-less handset sports a polished stainless steel frame and glass on both sides. It is also water and dust resistant. The iPhone X measures 143 x 70.9 x 7.7mm and weighs 174 grams.
The ‘flagship killer’ device from OnePlus looks like a previous generation iPhone device. It features metal unibody design with rounded edges and corners. The new OnePlus 5 measures 154.2 x 74.1 x 7.3mm and weighs 153g. It sports a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with full HD resolution and comes in two color options (Midnight Black and Slate Gray).

Conclusion
While the Apple iPhone X sports the best features on iOS platform, the OnePlus 5 can stand on its own too. It offers high-end specs at almost one-third the price of iPhone X.
