Design
The design of the 5C is reminiscent of the Honor 5X. Looking at the device, it doesn’t look like a budget phone. Honor 5C features aircraft-grade aluminium-alloy body which has been molded using a high speed metal stamping process and finished with a brushed metal effect for a smooth, textured look. The sides are made up of plastic with a texture on it which goes well with the brushed metal design. The Honor 5C has also went through a lot of quality tests such as drop test, impact test, port durability test, salt spray test, temperature/humidity test and thermal shock test. Overall build quality of the phone is good. It is a compact phone that looks premium and can be comfortably held with a single hand.
Galaxy A5 takes its design cues from other smartphones in Samsung’s Galaxy series. It comes with a metal body. The Galaxy A5 looks nice but there is no factor that makes it stand out from the crowd.

Display
The Honor 5C features a 5.2-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The Samsung Galaxy A5 on the other hand, comes with a smaller and lower resolution display. It has a 5-inch Super AMOLED screen with HD resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

The Honor 5C sports a 13 mega pixel primary camera with LED flash. There is also an 8 mega pixel front facing camera. Although the rear camera resolution of both the phones is same, front camera resolution of Honor 5C is higher compared to the Galaxy A5. Honor 5C also offers more control to the users over photography.

The Honor 5C is powered by an Octa-core Kirin 650 processor. The Kirin 650 chipset is based on 16nm fabrication instead of the 28nm process which is seen in other smartphones in this price segment. The high-performance 16 nm processor ensures super-fast performance with reduced power consumption.
The Galaxy A5 on the other hand, comes with a 1.2GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. Both phones house 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. The Honor 5C supports 128GB of expandable storage via microSD card while the Galaxy A5 supports up to 64GB.
Software
The Honor 5C runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Huawei EMUI 4.1 on the top. It offers features like Scrolling screenshots that lets users take screenshots longer than one screen.
