Xiaomi has finally launched its Redmi Note 3 smartphone, in the Indian market. While the device was originally launched with MediaTek processor in China, the company has launched the Snapdragon 650 powered variant of the Redmi Note 3 in India.
The Redmi Note 3 comes with stunning all-metal body design and is the first smartphone from company to feature a fingerprint sensor for additional security. Besides fingerprint scanner, the phone also offers a 5.5-inch full HD display, decent camera combination and massive battery.
Under the hood, it is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor. On the front, there is a 5.5-inch full HD display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution. The device comes in two variants based on RAM and storage- one with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory while other variant packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage.
On imaging front, the phone sports a 16 mega pixel rear camera with dual LED flash and a 5 mega pixel front facing camera. Backed up by a 4050mAh battery, it measures 150x76x8.65 mm and weighs 164 grams. It is the third product from Xiaomi that has been ‘made in India’.
At the event, Hugo Barra also announced the launch of Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth speakers for India. The speakers will be available by the end of the month at Rs. 1,999. The Mi 20,000mAh power bank will also go on sale in India in the coming days. Moreover, Barra has also announced that the company will be bringing the Mi 5 to India in a month.

The Redmi Note 3 is priced at Rs. 9,999 for 2GB RAM variant with 16GB of inbuilt storage and Rs. 11,999 for 3GB RAM variant with 32GB of inbuilt memory. It will go on sale starting March 9, 2016 at 2:00 PM via mi.com and Amazon India. Later on, it will also on go on sale on Flipkart, Snapdeal and offline channels.
