2019 iPhones With Triple-Rear Camera Setup
Taiwanese website Economic Daily News has referred to a research note from analyst Jialin Lu. It mentions that the company will reveal at least one new 2019 iPhone model with a triple-lens rear camera setup. Earlier rumors had appeared online regarding this topic of interest.
If it actually happens, the 2019 iPhone models will follow the Huawei P20 Pro. Moreover, it has already introduced a triple-lens rear camera setup.
The P20 Pro camera sports a 40-megapixel lens, a 20-megapixel monochrome lens, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with up to 3x optical zoom.
According to the analyst, this move is a reflection of the company’s efforts in advanced 3D sensing via stereo vision. Two of the sensors will be able to capture photos of anything from different angles.
It also noted that a triangulation method will be facilitated to get the distance between the iPhone and the object. 3D sensing will be used for AR.
He also mentioned that the third lens will have a longer focal length for better zoom function.
